Chloe Michaels (FC: Imogen Poots) is currently taken. The following is an interview with playbill.com that she gave recently.
Interviewer: So, Chloe, how old are you and how long have you been in the business?
Chloe: I’m 23 and I’ve been in the business for 4 years
I: Could you explain to us a little bit about what exactly it is that you do?
C: I act, sing and also dance.
I: That’s very interesting. What would you say it was that first got you into theatre?
C: My first favorite musical was Annie. Whenever I saw a movie, I’d watch it over and over again, to the point that I’d remember all the words. When I saw Annie, I fell in love with it. I would always watch it and sing and act out the parts. My grandmother took me to go see on broadway when I was about 4 and I sang the whole entire time in the audience. Ever since then I wanted to be in broadway, I wanted to preform.
I: And did you always think you’d make it to Broadway?
C: Yes, I honestly did always think that. I always worked hard with every play and performance I did. It was what I strived for my whole life.
I: Okay, let’s get a little bit more personal then. Can you tell us about your childhood?
C: Well, my grandparents raised me. My dad left me and my mom when I was young and my mom was never really in the picture. My grandparents literally gave me everything. They were always supportive of me and always pushed me. They put me in dancing, singing classes and piano lessons. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them. I grew up a rather normal life.
I: Uh-huh. And what about now? What would you say your life is like?
C: A blessing. I’m so thankful for the opportunities I’ve had.
I: What show are you currently working on, if any?
C: Right now I’m in the show Phantom of the Opera. I play Meg Giry, Christine’s friend in the movie.
I: I love that show! Who would you say your favorite person in the cast or crew is?
C: I wouldn’t say I have a favorite yet
I: Are they the best person you’ve ever worked with, or was there someone else?
C: Every person I’ve worked with has been great
I: What about love life? Do you have any off stage love interests?
C: Oh no. Aha, I don’t really have much time for a love life.
I: Alright then. Why don’t we get back to you specifically, though. What would you say some of your strengths and weaknesses are?
C: Well, I’m a very hard worker. I’m self motivated and always give my best. I’m extremely loyal to the people I’m friends with. My work always comes first. But at times, I’m not very into making new friends. I don’t like drama and im rather busy weather it’s practice or show that’s going on. I don’t like to be bothered with things I don’t have to deal. So if I don’t consider you as a friend, don’t expect any special treatment. I’m very blunt at times, I say what I mean and don’t apologize for it.
I: If you had to pick your dream production to work on, what would it be?
C: I would love to be in Swan Lake. It’s one of my favorite ballets. I really like Tchaikovsky.
I: Now let’s get to the juicy stuff. If you were to be involved in a scandal, what would it be?
C: I wouldn’t be in a scandal. The only thing I could think of what would get me into trouble would be my mouth. Uhm, I probably would say that wrong thing to the wrong person.
I: Well I think that’s enough for today. It was great getting to sit down with you and I wish you luck in all of your work.
C: Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
